“Save my Job in the Rain” is another project under Impart Liberia. This project addresses humanitarian needs of the less fortunate and those incapacitated.
Monrovia is the wettest capital city in the World, and has two seasons, wet and dry. During the wet season which runs from mid April to mid October Monrovia experience rainfall that most times make uncomfortable the working condition of Liberians, most especially youth.
One group seriously affected by this situation are local car washers in my community. Their absences form job during this time has a negative reflection in my community, making robbery their best way to stay relevant within these six months of rain.
“Save my Job in the Rain” covers the provision of rain gears/coats,buckets,towel and car washing materials including drug(for those who secure the car-washing base as a home) for local car-washers during this rainy period.
Since unemployment in Liberia is rated over terrible, while young people cut in equal half the population, In order to save the community from crimes and robberies that may result from lack of job cause by rain for six months, this project will help keep car-washers on their job by providing those items.
